    Oil on Canvas
    120cm wide x 180cm high

This work is part of the artist’s collection “The Women of the Flowers”. The artist’s main inspiration is the women of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, in Oaxaca. It represents the pride of Mexican women and their beauty, which can only be equalled by that of flowers.

The Isthmus of Tehuantepec (tewanteˈpek, or "jaguar mountain") is the narrow stretch of land between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean. Before the opening of the Panama Canal, it was a major overland transport route known simply as the Tehuantepec Route.
